Who builds Expensorr
Expensorr is built by Sarthak Shrivastava, Founder of Expensorr and Bitfumes. It started as a tool to solve his own expense tracking and is maintained as an independent product.
Why Expensorr exists
Most expense trackers fail for the same reason: entering transactions is tedious enough that people stop doing it within a few weeks. The plan is rarely the problem. The record is.
Expensorr is built around that single observation. Capture has to take seconds — a photograph of a receipt, or a spoken sentence — because anything slower does not survive a busy week. Everything else in the app exists to make those captured records useful afterwards: wallets, budgets, labels, splits, and 75 currencies.
Who is behind it
Sarthak Shrivastava is a software engineer, AI consultant, and educator based in India, with more than ten years building and shipping software. He founded Bitfumes in 2017, is a Docker Captain and an AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and has taught over 100,000 students on Udemy and 156,000 subscribers on YouTube. He built Expensorr to solve his own expense tracking.

How we write about the product
Every factual claim on this site is checked against the app itself before it is published, and the guides and comparisons state plainly what Expensorr cannot do. The current limits:
- Expensorr does not connect to your bank. Transactions are added by scanning, voice, import, or manual entry.
- Expensorr does not file taxes or submit returns. It keeps records; your accountant or tax software does the filing.
- Expensorr has no team accounts, employee roles, or approval workflows. It is built for one person, not a finance department.
Comparison pages say where a competitor is the better choice, because the alternative — pages that claim to win on every axis — is neither true nor useful to anyone deciding.
